Medical emergency at 3 a.m.
Given the worst night — injury or acute illness aboard, possibly while anchored out, when help is needed fast, then there’s a plan that doesn’t depend on improvising at 3 a.m.
To answer
- At the berth: can an ambulance crew reach the boat? Gate codes at night?
- Anchored out: who comes — INEM, capitania, Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos? VHF or 112?
- Also the boat-side emergencies: fire aboard, flooding, person (or dog) in the water at night.
- First-aid kit spec for a floating home; nearest 24h pharmacy and hospital per marina.
- Does anyone know I’m aboard? Check-in habit / dead-man switch for solo living.
