The marina doesn't renew the contract
Given my home occupies a berth I don’t own, under an annual contract, when the marina declines to renew — policy change, redevelopment, new management, or liveaboards falling out of favour, then I have somewhere to go that isn’t a crisis.
To answer
- Do Lisbon-area marinas officially allow liveaboards at all, or tolerate them? (This is SPK-1 — the single project-killing question.)
- Contract terms: notice periods, liveaboard clauses, price escalation history.
- Plan B berths: how many alternatives exist within commuting distance? Waiting lists?
- Mooring outside marinas: is a private mooring/anchorage legally possible on the Tejo (APL/DGRM)?
- This scenario defines the portability requirement: the home must be able to move to a plan-B berth under its own power — links DEC-004.
